On November 27 2009 VB Projects received the order, after a public tender, to complete the last open plot between recently constructed office buildings at Laan op Zuid in Rotterdam. This location, known as ‘Binnentuin Ichtushof’, principal Gemeentewerken Rotterdam anticipates a prestigious plan. The schedule is to commence ground breaking and pile driving by the end of January 2010. The design works for this prestigious project has been made by architect Erick van Egeraat. Erick van Egeraat  is well-known for other current projects, among which Mahler tower 4 on ZuidAs, Amsterdam, the extension of the town hall in Budapest, business park Milanofiori in Assago, Milan and to the shopping centre Versjina 1 at Soergoet, Siberia.

This project is a combination of several civil-technical and architectural works. Aspects such as drainage, groundworks, pile-driving, concrete works, nature stone, bricklaying, pavement and several striking steel constructions appear in this unique design of ‘Binnentuin Ichtushof’. The busy urban area and the presence of the underground railway line will require several professional and organisational skills. These objectives brings this project to a beautiful challenge for VB. Expected completion of this project is projected in October 2010.
