Project Application
VB was commissioned to realise a complete climate control system for the 31.5-hectare greenhouse. Finka's high-tech greenhouses are located in the state of Querétaro, Mexico, and specialise in growing tomatoes, cucumbers and mini cucumbers.
Challenge and approach
VB was responsible for the complete climate system of the greenhouse, which was engineered for the future expansion of the complex. The greenhouse is heated by a pipe rail system, a cultivation piping system and a CO2 dosing system, all of which have already been engineered for the future expansion.
Results and features
August 2022 saw the grand opening of the 22-hectare sustainable greenhouse. Queretaro State Governor Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez attended the grand opening, and expressed his delight at this high-tech project. Customers, international suppliers and employees were also present to celebrate the completion of the first phase of this major project.
