Project request
For our long-standing customer Mastronardi, a specialist in greenhouse vegetable cultivation, VB expanded the existing heating installation with a snow and grow pipe system. The work was carried out on half of the total cultivation area of 26.2 hectares. With this upgrade, VB optimises the climate conditions inside the greenhouse and contributes to even higher crop quality, fully tailored to the customer’s requirements.
Challenge and approach
Two systems, each with three distribution pipes, were installed in both headwalls. The work involved additional challenges, as the greenhouse remained fully operational and tomato crops were still present. To avoid welding activities in the middle of the crop, the Ø35 Forca pipe was connected using compression fittings. Thanks to careful planning and customised solutions, VB completed the installation efficiently and without disrupting the production process.
Result and features
The completed expansion is a high-quality addition to the existing heating system. The upgraded heating concept gives Mastronardi greater control over the cultivation climate and contributes to more consistent heat distribution, higher crop quality, improved yields and increased operational reliability. As a result, Green Empire Farms now benefits from a future-proof installation that meets the demands of modern greenhouse horticulture.
