Project request
Pligt Professionals is a horticultural company based in the Westland, with several locations. This family business is one of the leading producers of flowering plants in the Netherlands. At the end of 2025, VB received the request to build a new location on Naaldwijkseweg. The greenhouse will be built for pot roses and covers a total area of approximately 3.3 hectares.
Challenge and approach
The project consists of two greenhouse sections with different column heights. The lower section covers approximately 1.5 hectares and will have a column height of 6 metres. The higher section covers more than 1.7 hectares and will have a column height of 9.8 metres. Due to this structure, the project requires careful phasing and close coordination during construction.
Result and features
The lower section of the greenhouse is currently under construction. VB will then continue with the realisation of the higher section. The new greenhouse will become a modern production location for pot roses in the heart of the Westland. The project is expected to be completed at the end of 2026. This will give Pligt Professionals additional space for further growth and future-oriented cultivation.
